Dave Drumright
Prior to completing an Agricultural Business Management Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1984, Dave had his insurance license and was working through an agency in the San Luis Obispo area. Since 1984 there have been many changes in the insurance industry, soft markets and hard markets. His ability to communicate the business risks of a client to insurer underwriters has led to a successful career with an honest reputation.
His membership in Rotary (since 1999) led him to the Presidency of his club and President of the local Rotary 503c Foundation Actively giving back to the community through "Service Above Self" is the motto of Rotary and is wholly embraced by Mr. Drumright by doing what is right for the client.
Dave placed insurance products for hundreds of agricultural clients on the Central Coast of California. After that was hired to manage a staff and lead insurance production for the Auto Insurance Specialists, in Thousand Oaks, for many years prior to joining Montgomery Fansler Carlson and Valois (MFC & V Insurance) in Santa Barbara.
Having been the first acquisition in California, MFC & V became an integral West Coast office for Brown and Brown Insurance, a public company. Brown and Brown allows local offices with the "small town feel" to be backed by a National powerhouse.
Keeping with his roots in the commercial insurance industry, today Dave is involved with many types of risks as a generalist. Placing all lines of business insurance for construction, farms, technology, non-profits, manufacturing, restaurants, hotels and many other types of businesses.
Brown and Brown services not only include placing insurance products but providing valuable connections through networking such as reputational risk management, in-house attorneys, healthcare reform navigation, and team building.
Personally, Dave is married and has 2 daughters. He enjoys travelling, golf, swimming, fly fishing and just being outdoors.
